Near KETTLE FALLS, Wash. –

The Bisbee Mountain Fire near Kettle Falls is fully contained as of Wednesday, but public access is closed to most of the Sherman Creek Wildlife Area because of the fire.

Fire bosses said the 500-acre wildfire was human-caused, although they are still investigating who started it, how it started and why.

It began on Saturday afternoon. More than 40 homes were put on notice that they might be forced to evacuate if conditions worsen. Slow winds and relative humidity have kept the fire from spreading quickly, according to authorities.

I’m back; Okay.. so this is what we did. Our road opened up today so we – of course – went up the mountain. We smelled the fire but all of the roads we’ve come to love deeply showed no damage.

All it showed was the beautiful folige that fall brings to this mountain. I had shot a picture of it last fall and I’ll post it here.

I am so blessed.
